Pianist Mary Katherine Schober enjoys a multifaceted career in teaching, composing, and performing in the greater Houston area. She runs a private piano studio out of her Galleria location. Her students perform regularly in the community, and frequently earn local, regional, and state honors. Schober currently serves as President of Forum Music Teachers’ Association, a local chapter of Music Teachers’ National Association.

Schober performs regularly at various venues throughout Houston and other Texas cities. She recently completed a solo classical program tour which included Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and her own Vignettes, Op. 2, at various colleges in Texas and beyond. She has also worked in the popular music scene with local singer-songwriter Catterina. An emerging visual artist, her painting “Sunset-by-the-Sea” was featured in the online gallery, Scenic 2023.
